Community-based social services III
Third iteration of the social services program.

Conclusion of the project "Provision of community-based social services for children with motor disabilities and their families III"
In December 2023, the association "Latvian Children with Motor Disabilities" concludes the implementation of project No. 9.2.2.3/22/A/022 "Provision of community-based social services for children with motor disabilities and their families III" with the support of the European Social Fund.
The aim of the project was to increase the availability of community-based social services for 50 children with motor disabilities and their families, so that an individually developed package of social rehabilitation services for each child would improve their social skills and functional abilities, as well as provide the necessary support to families.
Within the project, an individual service plan was developed for each child, which included sessions such as physiotherapy, biofeedback sessions, massage, occupational therapy sessions, play therapy sessions and psychologist consultations, as well as group hydrotherapy sessions and visual and plastic arts sessions in groups.
In total, 3,022 support sessions were carried out during the project between February 2023 and December 2023.
The project also provided significant support to the children's parents/guardians. Each child's legal representative was provided with 10 therapeutic massages as well as various creative sessions. 96% of parents made full use of the support offered by the project.
Within the project, equipment was purchased — a passive movement trainer and a therapeutic mirror — and support measures were carried out for the specialists implementing the project.
The project's planned eligible costs are EUR 206,744.44, of which 85%, or EUR 175,732.77, is European Social Fund funding and 15% is state funding.
